This is the first newsletter on Handheld PC Chess Programs from Digital Chess Network. I will try to keep you informed about the major news on Handheld PC Chess Programs. Handheld Chess Programs is a growing craze in the computer chess area. Even though the development is somewhat slow, it's steady and hopefully will cover hearts of many growing handheld chess program fans. In this issue, I will mainly give you information on the available Handheld PC Chess programs out there. Then I will also provide you with links and information about the future handheld PCs that you can use to fire up your favourite chess programs. The highlight of this issue will be an interview with Christopher Theron, the author of the superstrong Chess Program for desktop PCs, "Chess Tiger". He will give us information about his Chess program that has been ported on Handheld computer, known as, "Chess Tiger for Palm". The current version of the program is 14.9. I would also like to note that, my effort on this newsletter will be based on no prior experience of any kind. I have decided to help John Marountas with his newsletter, and also in a way do somthing for the computer chess community. So I would also appreciate if anyone else would like to help us out.
