When you decide to go ahead with the TCL version, take a good look at the
analysis.tcl file for Shane Hudson's Scid database program.  The engine analysis
functionality for Scid seems very similar to what you are trying to do with
Chest -- spawn a separate application, feed it data, and capture and display the
output from the program.
