I can't agree. There are chess servers. Chessnet, ICC and FICS for examples. While I have no problem with the service, nor with Chessbase. I think the route chosen (their own server) don't serve the general chess computer fan. Chessbase I'm sure have received thousands of requests over the years to make their products server compatible, those were ignored in choosing to make their own. Sarah.
