Was >Stenitz wrong? Yes, in the strict axiomatic way that people take it. You can be getting your butt kicked and still find a shot. Computers do fine positionally sometimes. Other times, they may be doing poorly positionally yet manage to create complications. Positional versus tactical chess is a sematic argument that we have here often. bruce
