I don't think there are established rules.

I was previously referring to it as Chest then changed and began calling it
CHEST.  Do the letters represent other words (e.g., DOS is capitalized because
it means "Disk Operating System" but "Mac" is not capitalized as it is just a
short version of "Macintosh")?

Even if the letters do not represent other words, one possible benefit of using
all capital letters ("CHEST") is that people are more likely to quickly realize
you are referring to a piece of software rather than a body part.  ;-)
