Christophe, That was a very complete answer, but I think you should also make the obvious observation that an overclocked Palm will also use up its battery (or batteries) more quickly. Is the battery life while playing chess with pondering on inversely proportional to the degree of overclocking? That is, if you double the processor speed, do you halve the battery life? Rodney
