I think your guess is quite good. (plus/minus a few wins/losses :) It seems that
the programs are tactically so strong, that a GM needs a lot of thinking time
and quite a positional advantage in order to get the win. The GMs often get an
advantage (usually positionally, but sometimes also in material, as Smirin did
just yesterday against Tiger) But to 'drive home' this advantage, precise play
is needed, which humans often are not capable of, given small time constraints.
