Um.. what exactly did you see as an "excuse"? I'm not defending either side...
You seem to imply that I'm one of the "GMs are better than comps" guys. I'm not.
But I'm also not one of the "Comps are better than GM guys" btw...

I simply stated my impression about the latest GM vs comp games, which happen to
be Smirin-comp games at the moment. And my impression is that Smirin could reach
an advantageous position, but didn't play precise enough to turn the position
into a win. It is my _opinion_ that more time would increase the chances for the
GM to turn such advantageous (but not won!) positions into a win. YMMV. That's a
far cry from using the "limited time" as an excuse though. I'm aware that these
are the conditions of the match and both sides agreed on it before the match
began.
