They traded wins in the first 2 games, and then Deep Blue defended inferior positions in games 3, 4 and 5. Please consult a dictionary, or at least take the time to look at all the games from that match. There was nothing remotely convincing about Karpov's performance, except that he got very lucky in the sudden death overtime. Karpov's results since then have been pretty poor. If you actually took the time to study some of Anand's games and look up his recent results, you'd realize that he has been the best player in the world for the past 12-18 month period. My own opinion is that Anand will win this match against Rebel pretty easily. The 5-minute and 15-minute games should be interesting, but I think Anand will easily win the 40/2 games. --Peter
