In any case to get "just" 40 or even 30 points is a great thing at the current
level top programs play. Diffrences between a 2100 and a 2150 player are not so
much decisive; between a 2700 and a 2750 they are.
In fact, in any situation of competitive perfomance, the highest the level, the
more "non-marginal" the little bits of advantage are. You are or you are not the
top 100 meters runner because of a .01 second.
