This is an interesting question and you got good advice, I enjoyed reading it a lot. I especially like the html idea. And I agree with Tom. One way to figure out whether someone can really enjoy programming is to watch how s/he uses the computer: does s/he see it as a tool only to communicate faster etc.. or does s/he sometimes play computer games (and if its mine sweeper) or try to get that circular letter function in Word to work ?
