Linda Scherzer comes to mind (Tony Scherzer's wife (Bebe chess machine)).
Linda was involved with that project.

Kathe Spracklen also did real chess programming.  I believe she knew more
about the internals of Sargon than Dan did...  From talking with her on the
phone many times back in the 80's...
