It would probably make more sense for those of us who are serious chessplayers
on the rated tournament level,club level too, or any level where one wishes to
improve, to purchase Hiarcs as well as Fritz 7.
Fritz is extremely tactical and Hiarcs is very positional. That gives us both
ends of the spectrum. Most of the top level programs are all Grandmaster
strength. We can sharpen up on our tactics without losing site of play against a
positional opponent. The point is that just practising for months against Fritz
7 may not be enough when you go into a tournament and get crushed posotionally.
Unless we get all of the engines for comp vs comp competitions it appears that 3
engines cover the spectrum.

Fritz........Tactical
Hiarcs.......Positional
Shredder 6...Somewhere in the middle
