hypocrisy?  you are trying to rationalize software piracy.

your example is not correct - lending a book to someone  :)   surely it is
obvious that if you give someone a book it is physically transferred to him.

If you let him copy your software then now you have two copies (and you have
only paid royalties to the software author for one).
