There are still alot of holes in computer play. >than who will play it look like no more computer vs human event to me am i right >or not There will always (at least for about 25 years IMHO) be a give-and-take between computers exposing more chess knowledge, then top players using this knowledge against each other and against computers. Something like what happened in checkers, if I understand it correctly. For example, after Chinook played against Marion Tinsley (far and away the best human player) in their first match, some things were discovered, such as holes in opening book theory that were used to prepare for the second match against Tinsley. So I think that there will be interest in Comp-GM matches for a while to come. Bob
