 IMHO, Chess Tiger is distinctly better than Gambit Tiger. I know that
Christophe Theron is particularly fond of GT- yet I don't forget that Christophe
is not a strong chess player.

 According to the sources, the reason why Smirin has played GT -and not CT- is
because the Tiger team so decided. I don't doubt that is true. But also I guess
that Smirin himself, understanding so much about chess, might be secretely happy
with that decision.

 Argentine players who played CT in that tournament became amazed not only for
the  number of points the engine managed to get, but for the wonderful (and
human-like) quality of its play.
