I'm currently analyzing a game where Fritz doesn't see the best move until the
23/51 ply!  (one of my best 'career' moves ever, I might add--though pretty easy
for a 2100 human to find!)  I'm really convinced that looking only 14-19 ply
means little in some positions...therefore, I never rely on or look at such
evaluations out of habit
