By looking at the actual photo it's clear that the "creature" is a light trace from a light on the panel behind him made by moving the camera while the exposure was taken. He's either kidding us or he wanted to find something of this nature so badly that the creature looked plausible. What was fun for me was seeing Yge Visser. I remember playing chess with him when he was a foreign exchange student (he was in high school).
