Expanding on Amir's idea of 29 ...g4, 30Rc2,Bxa1, 31Rc7,Qd8, 32Nc4  , here is
what Fritz 6 gives after a long think. When I first saw this game I thought
Smirin was totally busted around here. What an incredible feat for Smirin. I
cannot help but feel that GT 2 had a win in here somewhere.

This match just shows you how tough it is to beat a strong GM in his prime.
