And you have already also expressed you opinion, that: "It seems that DJ deserved to win but unfortunately didn't." My point is that people do not play their best when distracted, so I don't think it is fair to conclude DJ should have won, you judge only from the final position, I judge from the whole circimstances surrounding the game. And Amir said: "This event was a series of problems and mishaps" .... "There followed a string of communication problem, with KC’s communications (probably ISP) having a bad evening. The setup at KasparovChess is that although the GM and the computer are in adjacent rooms, they communicate over the Internet. " just as I quoted before.... >I guess that in case of serious problems we have should heard complaints by >Smirin himself ,since sportmanships or not ,the game is money awarded in the >end. "I was distracted"? Hmm that would make him look like a fool using a bad excuse, I too would rather lose. >Amir noted finally: >"This game is remarkable in showing how a 2700 player can be smothered in a game >he believes he can’t possibly lose, without making any outright blunder except >waking up when it’s too late" If he lost maybe 100-150 elo because of these problems, then maybe he would have drawn. -S.
