Hi, i have just uploaded Holmes 0.8.2. Sorry i have at the moment no time to update my homepage, so please use the link at the bottom for this release. This version should now over 100 ELO stronger than 0.8.1. All bug reports,results and comments are welcome. changes since 0.8.1 =================== - bug "wrong result announces" fixed - bug in time management fixed - internal bugs in the hash code fixed - next time control will be set now correct after "FEN" and "LOAD FEN" - new command "HASH" implemented - new commands "BOOK ON" and "BOOK OFF" implemented - new commands "NULL ON" and "NULL OFF" implemented - new commands "BEEP ON" and "BEEP OFF" implemented - new command "STAT" (statistics) implemented - the default extension for "SAVE FEN" and "LOAD FEN" is now ".fen" - double null move implemented - better repetition draw recognition inside the search - this version should now better work with the tool EPD2WB from Bruce Moreland - ... and a lot of other internal stuff changed and optimized planed changes in the near future (next few weeks) ================================================== pawn hash table some other pruning algos in the search some more endgame knowledge in the evaluation newer and stronger opening book pondering analyze mode protover 2 commands perhaps table bases ...
