I don't know how many DOS/Win3 users remain (I would think most have switched to 32-bit Windows by now, but I could be wrong), nor do I think that market is growing. So I wouldn't necessarily lump DOS together with Mac. (Linux is certainly a growing market -- why not a Hiarcs for Linux?!) Quite a few companies (still) make good money selling Mac programs. As there are relatively few professional-grade chess programs on the Mac (at least compared to Windows), one great app might sell pretty well. (Or maybe not. I really don't know!)
