While the old Hiarcs GUI could probably be used, they would at least 'carbonize' it (an Application framework which basically the 'cleaned' application framework of the old MacOS) so it also runs under OSX. I assume that a commercial company has to do this when bringing a new (major) version of a program and wants to be taken seriously. (that's my opinion!) For Linux I don't really know. While using xboard for a commercial engine is technically possible, that's probably an unlikely approach. And I have trouble imagining someone (apart from freaks) would buy a program which is ASCII-based. ;) [OTOH, it's linux guys, so they should be used to that ;)] Sargon
