There are those who think the best PC programs are 2750+. Others say only 2400. I'm right in the middle on this issue: I think they're about 2550 (with early results scoring better due to the well-documented "computer shock" effect -- GMs require significant work to learn how to steer the games away from the computers' strengths). 2550 is stronger than most IMs and some GMs. 2550 is strong enough to earn GM norms. 2550 is certainly strong enough to win games against GMs and to challenge them in every game.
