The changing of the title to the word rubbish. People usually do not change the title of the subject and changing the title of the subject to something that may cause thorsten to feel bad is not something that is done normally. > > >>Saying that Fritz had a better evaluation in one game is a legitimate opinion. > > >Well it was opposite. But is that really a legitimate opinion after one game. In >fact I find it funny how you can come to any opinion after one game. You are right that it was the opposite but it is legitimate to have opinions. Opinion does not have to be something that is statistically significant and opinion that says that hiarcs had better evaluation in a single game even does not say which program is better. Maybe there is misunderstanding about the header even if the header based on one game is: "Hiarcs is better than Fritz" then it is legitimate opinion. It is not something that you can be sure in 90% or even in 70% but if there are 2 programs that you know nothing about them then it will be a better guess that the winner is better[you may even guess that the loser is better if you see that the winner was lucky based on the evaluation for example if the loser outsearched the winner only to find itself in a losing position when the result was a surprise for both programs(it happens to nejmet in one game against a previous piece square table version of my program)]. Playing bullet games is also a way to get an opinion and in most of the cases the better program in 1 minute/game is also better at tournament time control but it is not always the case. A program may have bugs that happen only at long time control(Hiarcs7.32 had) and the only way to know is by testing. I could find by analyzing a single game of Hiarcs7.32 that Hiarcs7.32 had a bug of retaining hash tables that happen at long time control when it may play a bad move. Uri
