I can decide to change slightly one number in my program in the last moment based on a single game before a tournament if I know that the change prevent my program from doing the mistake from that game. I cannot be sure that the change is really positive and it is possible that the same change can make my program weaker in more positions but it is clear that if I do the change then I have an opinion that the change is positive and that opinion is based only on one game. I am not going to express opinion which program is better out of 2 totally different programs based on a single game but people have the right to do it. If you have no idea which program is better of 2 programs of similiar strength then guessing that the winner is better than guessing a random program and you can have probability of 51% to be right instead of 50%. If you also watch the game then it is possible that you can get also a better guess based on watching the main lines in order to increase your chances to be right to 52%. Uri
