If you're trying to say that I could not write a chess program that's better
than Fritz 1, then you're probably right.  :-)

(Of course, you know that Chesty is just tiny GUI app to simplify invoking
Heiner Marxen's great puzzle-solver, CHEST.  Chesty does not play chess.)

My comment about Fritz 1 was not meant as an insult to it.  I purchased it when
it was released (and bought later versions of Fritz too -- I like Fritz!) and
tested it against all the other top programs and computers of the time.  I also
read many articles about it.  It was widely known and acknowledged to be the
fastest searcher of its day but also the one with the least chess knowledge.

I'm sorry if you took offense at my comment.
