Well, I've since found out that what I was doing was illegal.
The Rebel package came with this copyright notice:

COPYRIGHT NOTICE

The REBEL CENTURY software is the exclusive property of Schr”der BV
and is protected by Dutch and International law. You are prohibited
from transferring this product in any way or form whatsoever. It is
forbidden to copy, change, split, disassemble or produce any changed
form of this product.

Schr”der BV
P.O. Box 6365
NL 7401 JJ Deventer
The Netherlands

After reading this, I realized producing my book was illegal (changed
form), and I quickly deleted *all* Rebel software from my computer,
since installing it (transferring/copying) and changing my
preferences (change) is illegal too.
