You are mixing apples and oranges. I think most people would agree that
computers are of grandmaster strength at fast time controls. And has been so for
some time. When most people refer to a program being of grandmaster strength
that means it has that strength at not only fast time controls, but also at 40
moves in 2 hours. Now Rebel 10’s game shows that micro can play at a high level
at least in one game, but one game is not convincing enough to say that the
micros are now true grandmasters. What it does show is that micros are dame
close to it if they are not. I for one need more proof, but that’s how I am.
