OK...  since you don't quite follow exponential math, here is an offer:

Today give me one penny.  Tomorrow give me double that.  And do so for an
entire month.  At the end of the month I will give you $100 so you make a
big profit for this exercise.

Hint:  "doubling" is _not_ a tiny increase...  It is huge...
