They all said something like: Copyright (C) 1981 by Frank Herbert Copyright (C) Stephen King, 1986 Copyright (C) 1994 by Richard Lederer and Michael Gilleland However, I looked in a textbook entitled "Intermediate Algebra", which was wriiten by Larry R. Mugridge of Kutztown University, and the Copyright is in the name of the publisher: "Copyright (C) 1994, 1991 by Saunders College Publishing". It depends on whether it is considered a "work made for hire" or not. I know some of the books I have were contracted by the publisher to be written by the author, yet the author still holds copyright. In the case of Rebel's Opening book, it sounds to me like the copyright should be held by Jeroen Noomen.
