Hi Martin, I've compiled your code to test only positiontoindex() and indextoposition(). Your code works flawlessly. But I noticed that your bicoef[][] array has some negative values, but that doesn't seem to get in the way. However for big values the output of your choose() function is diferent than mine. I still haven't figured out why the translated code to PowerBasic only works for kings only. English checkers have square 1 on the lower left corner. Spanish/Portuguese checkers have it on the lower/right. You don't think that has anything to do with my problem do you? Best regards, Alvaro Cardoso
