Hmm, something went wrong.  According to Chest there is no mate-in-8.
When I replay your above PV, after 1.cxd8=Q+ Qxd8 2.Rxc6+ Qxc6 3.Qe6+ Rd7
4.Qxd7+ Qcxd7 I reach
[D]bbkqNQq1/n2qR1rQ/n7/B1p2NQK/4Q3/3pP3/3pP3/3qQ2B w - -
where both, e6 and d6 are empty.  If 5.Nd6+ would be meant: that is ambigous,
and would be either Ned6+ or Nfd6+.  May be there is a typo, but since
Chest thinks there is no mate in 8, most probably you do not have the
correct start position.  Please double check.
