Well, well ;) - we didn't discuss releasing anything as own work or competing
with it in any tournament. I don't think there is any problem hacking or copying
whatsoever if it is only for your private basement joy.

And for the Gromit and TCB use of Fritz4.fbk ChessBase gave official permission
to offer Fritz4.fbk for download at Frank Quisinsky's pages btw. ; I wouldn't be
surprised if they gave permission to it being used by other programs, too. If
someone wanted to use this book in an official tournament for his engine this
would still be a different matter IMHO.
