Hi Chris,
I also noticed but haven't tried it as my USB ports are being used by a
printer and a scanner. However I assume it's identical to currently running
through a Comm port and that no additional software is required.
I also have laplink for transferring files but currently do that through LPT 1
(without any powered divice) as it's much faster than using a Comm port. USB
would be faster still but that would mean having to buy a new printer or new USB
port or hub.
I'm also unsure as to what differences running through a USB port or Comm port
would make, as currently there seems to be very little lag. Maybe simply more
stability than Comm as sometimes there are problems with Auto 232 through Comm
ports.
