Thanks rob that you tell us about ! This is great !!

It is normal that Anand reacts like this. Anand a child of the ChessBase-scene.
When he played against Karpov, Friedel ran arround and made video-tapes.
Later Friedel was interviewt and made statements alike Anand is the best chess
player in the world and nonsense stuff like this.
Anand lost against Karpov for psychological reasons.
His appearance here in Dortmund was disapointing.
And now he lost against a program.
He maybe planned to kill rebel as good as he killed fritz, this would have been
a good marketing image for HIM and for ChessBase...
But this did not happen. So in the end he lost 2 times:
he lost a little of his reputation, and he lost this against a program
that was not produced by his famous ChessBase friend Friedel.

I can imagine that he does not like this situation !!!

Don't take it serious. Anand never says much. His answers after the match
against fritz were also only polite nullmove-sentences...

You have all done a good job, and I am very proud of you !!
Rebel played initiative, strong in the result, and intelligent !
It also will bring us much for the discussions about HOW to go further !!!

Thanks !!! Congratulations and - when can we upgrade our Rebel into Rebel10
:-)))

Yes - of course....

Thats what I expected to happen ! :-))))

They don't need to play again against computer. Kasparov and Anand are to weak,
and - they lost against the computers.
We take Karpov next, or Seiravan, or other nice and gentle people.
We don't need these bad losers !
