it is good news for quake kids, but it is not going
to matter for computerchess a lot. the cpu speed and
level caches around the cpu determine how fast it is,
and they didn't improve it, so it's still about 70% slower
than a K7 at same clockspeed. So 2.53Ghz P4 ==> 1.5Ghz K7.

This for DIEP. Most C based programs perform about the same
though, like crafty.
