I figure you also mean the same number of cpu's as a quad would still outgun a Dual 2.53Ghz P4. Does anyone out there have the last DEC Alpha at 1Ghz? That would be a good Battle. Unfortuneately, The Power4 won't run ChessBase Programs, but i bet Crafty on any Power4 cpu would blow away anything on your P4. I am pretty sure unless someone can deliver some results from these CPU's, from what i just saw at Tom's Hardware guide the P4 rocks. I would appreciate it if you could post your F7 fritzmarks with 256MB for Hash Tables so i can compare to my 1Ghz. I am still trying to decide on a comp to get and unless AMD get's off their butts , a Dual Xeon is where it's at. If those people had any brains they would put out the Sledgehammer right now.
