Subject: Question regarding Fritz 7 upgrade problems

Hello, I keep trying to download and install the latest Fritz 7 service package
available at the chessbase website. The download goes correctly and completely,
but when I try to install the upgrade I get a message saying that some of the
files are corrupted and the update cannot be installed. I've downloaded the
update several times and always get this message. Can anyone tell me what is
going on here? Also, as I have posted before, I have no multimeda features for
Fritz 7 when using my laptop running XP (CD in place). That goes for J7 also.
The sound works fine for Chess Tiger and some other programs I have on the
laptop. I do NOT have this problem running these programs on my desktop running
Windows ME. I've contacted ChessBase for technical advice on this and haven't
heard back from them for a couple of days. I'm just frustrated. I just ordered
HIARCS 8 and SHREDDER 6 and hope I don't get this problem also.
Just frustrated. Any comments would be appreciated.
thanks in advance,
Gerald
