I don't know for sure, but if I had to guess, I'd bet on a difference. Most of the notebook systems I've seen use the smaller SODIMMs, rather than the regular DIMMs, and this one is no different (click the Accessories and Upgrades link at the top of the page and scroll down to Memory options).
