I am not sure about the number because 1500 may mean different ability in
different countries but the new engines at depth 3 or 4 plies are going to lose
against almost every program even at blitz.

Some engines do more extensions so I expect them to be better.

I believe that hiarcs does more extensions so I expect it to be better than
Fritz7.

Note that I have not hiarcs8 or Fritz7 and I am based on the fact that Fritz7
search clearly deeper based on pgn games and on the fact that there is almost no
difference in knowledge between the top engines(one engine may understand better
position A when another engine may understand better position B but the total
difference is close to 0 and what is important to decide which engine is better
is usually tactics).

I do not say that tactics is always what decides which engine is better but only
that I believe that it is the case with the top engines.
