Yes, but if that was the criteria, then we could quit comparing strength more or
less. :o)

Very true. But OTOH, we chess lovers should accept IMO, that some people use
computer chess to test if they have one of the fastest computers (for example),
and have fun doing so. There are many ways to be in touch with chess.

But as far is I can see from recent results which are published, Hiarcs 8 is
very near Fritz 7 in comp-comp strength. IMO the top three are Fritz 7, Chess
Tiger 14 (& Gambit Tiger 2.0), and Hiarcs 8 now.

At the moment. :o)
