Subject: implement program to identify eco code

Hello

In my chessprogram i would like to implement the Eco code to identify openings.
I think the only efficient way is to compare for each move the position with a
database of positions (8*8 matrix) with its ECO and the last ECO code found is
the good one. Is there such a database available ? or any program source to help
me ?
