it is not my intention to attack you.

IMO one has to be very carefully to test chess engines.
especially when using other GUI's.

please don't get me wrong. i am not jumping on you. just trying
to find an explanation.

i do have results that let hiarcs8 be 2nd behind fritz.
its not losing against any program. it plays interesting.
it has nice games and different point of view.

i can subscribe harald fabers results.

even against fritz (i think overall fritz is stronger) i don't see
hiarcs dying easily. the games are very interesting.

so my impression is completely different than yours. i don't know
why. maybe there are different versions on the market. whatever.
