Go up one level in this thread
Hello Jim, There is a recurring theme in your posts, specifically that engine-engine matches on one computer is a different animal than games played on 2 comps. No one seems to want to even address that point. You mention it and it gets ignored. But I think it is an important point. I see nothing to criticize in your setups. Your results speak for themselves. In 2-comp games, Hiarcs so far is not up to the level of the top programs. More games may give a different impression, but so far the only results that dispute yours seem to be played on one computer. As a matter of fact, I remember when Hiarcs 7.32 and Fritz 5.32 first came out. There were a number of matches posted by various people on this site. I noted then that H7.32 won over F5.32 convincingly in most engine-engine matches but that in 2-comp matches the results tended to be very even. I hope you keep posting your results. I think they are very valuable. eric
