Gurevich,M (2641) - Junior 7 [D03] Corinth, 17.05.2002 This game is a HOW TO play a computer chess program. My feeling is GM Gurevich got some basic coaching on how to play J7. Let's take a look at it. 1.d4 Nf6 2.c3 e6 3.Bg5 d5 4.Nd2 c5 5.e3 Notice how White is playing a closed position and begins to attack the Kingside with the Bishop. 5...Be7 6.Ngf3 Nbd7 7.Bd3 b6 8.0-0 Bb7 9.Qe2 0-0 10.Rfd1 c4 11.Bc2 h6 12.Bh4 g5 13.Bg3 Nh5 14.e4 b5 15.e5 a5 16.Nf1 Qe8 Again, notice how White is controlling the programs move choices by using standard anti-computer tactics. Closed centre and attack Black's Kingside. As per Fritz 7b +0.66 17.Ne3 b4 18.Ng4 Nxg3 19.hxg3 Kg7 20.Nd2 h5 21.Ne3 Rh8 22.f4 h4 23.f5 hxg3 24.Qg4 Qg8 25.Qxg3 Bd8 26.Rf1 Ra6 27.f6+ More Kingside pressure by White +1.00 27...Kf8 28.Nf3 Rb6 29.Qg4 Rh6 30.Kf2 Ke8 31.Qxg5 BINGO White exchanges queens with Black putting a damper on Blacks potential for tactics and increasing Whites lead +2.00 31...Qxg5 32.Nxg5 Rh5 33.Nf3 Nf8 34.Rh1 Rxh1 35.Rxh1 bxc3 36.bxc3 Rb2 37.Rh8 Bc6 38.Ke1 Rxa2 39.Ng5 Be7 40.fxe7 Kxe7 41.Kd2 a4 42.Rh1 a3 43.Rf1 Be8 44.Rb1 f6 +2.30 45.Rb7+ Nd7 46.Nf3 fxe5 47.Nxe5 Kd8 48.Nc6+ Kc8 49.Ra7 +1.75 This was a mistake better is Rb1 49...Nf6 50.Nb4 Ne4+ 51.Ke1 Ra1+ 52.Nd1 +0.00 Another mistake White should have played Bd1 and the rest of the moves confirm the F7s eval is correct 52...Bh5 53.Ba4 Kb8 54.Nc6+ Kc8 55.Nb4 Kb8 56.Nc6+ Kc8 57.Nb4 1/2 1/2
