Since Chessbase invented this stupid setup, why didn't they think of that in advance and not install all the extra files????? >The only thing is: You don't have individual preferences (i.e. book) for every >engine each, immediatly. I'd prefer that over having multiple >installations of the same program. Problem is book & settings are the main issue since I do mostly program/program matches using auto232. When Changing engines I also have to change books and also have to change hash memory settings which I find work best for each engine. Then to top that off I often have to "insert CD" to prove I own one when changing engines. But I wouldn't even mind that if they would clean up the GUI and get rid of the bugs I have already complained about. (Plus a couple more I found since I was forced to use the GUI lately) Chessbase simply does not care about the finished product. Since you are forced to buy the GUI to get the engines you want they can pawn off this junk and you are stuck with it. Jim >Regards, >M.Scheidl
