Hi! I like LambChop 10.88 very much and here it runs with about 75 nps (under Fritz-7-GUI 800MHz Pentium III). I have discovered one problem (under Fritz-7-GUI) which is not so important while using the engine for analysis but can cause trouble at eng-eng-matches: LambChop changes it evaluations when seeing a mate to opposite figures: [D] r1br4/1p2np1p/4p1p1/pqp1B1k1/2N1R3/1P1P2P1/1PP2PBP/R5K1 w - - 0 1 Under the Fritz-7-GUI: Analysis by LambChop 10.88: 21.Sd6 -+ (-4.13) Tiefe: 1 00:00:00 21.Sd6 Txd6 22.Lxd6 -+ (-3.03) Tiefe: 2 00:00:00 21.Lf4+ Kf5 22.Sd6+ Txd6 23.Lxd6 -+ (-2.63) Tiefe: 3 00:00:00 21.Lf4+ Kf5 22.Te5+ Kf6 23.Lg5+ Kg7 24.Lxe7 -+ (-2.12) Tiefe: 4 00:00:00 21.Lf4+ Kf6 22.Le5+ = (0.00) Tiefe: 5 00:00:00 21.Lg7 Txd3 22.Sd6 Td1+ 23.Txd1 Db6 24.Sxf7+ Kh5 ± (1.23) Tiefe: 6 00:00:03 210kN 21.Lg7 Txd3 22.cxd3 Kh5 23.Th4+ Kg5 24.f4+ Kf5 25.Se3# -+ (-310.73) Tiefe: 7 00:00:25 1757kN 21.Lg7 Txd3 22.cxd3 Kh5 23.Th4+ Kg5 24.f4+ Kf5 25.Se3# -+ (-310.73) Tiefe: 8 00:00:29 1941kN 21.Lg7 Txd3 -+ (-310.73) Tiefe: 9 00:00:32 2280kN 21.Lg7 Txd3 22.cxd3 Kh5 23.Th4+ Kg5 24.f4+ Kf5 25.Se3# -+ (-310.73) Tiefe: 10 00:00:42 3242kN 21.Lg7 Txd3 22.cxd3 Kh5 23.Th4+ Kg5 24.f4+ Kf5 25.Se3# -+ (-310.73) Tiefe: 11 00:01:12 5879kN Under the Shredder-6-classic-GUI: LambChop 10.88 1.00 0:00 -4.13 1.Sd6 (76) 2.00 0:00 -3.03 1.Sd6 Txd6 2.Lxd6 (387) 3.00 0:00 -3.03 1.Sd6 Txd6 2.Lxd6 (1.000) 4.00 0:00 -2.63 1.Sd6 Txd6 2.Lf4+ Kf6 3.Le5+ Kf5 4.Lxd6 (3.028) 5.00 0:00 -0.68 1.Lf4+ (10.722) 6.00 0:03 +1.23 1.Lg7 Txd3 2.Sd6 Td1+ 3.Txd1 Db6 4.Sxf7+ Kh5 (215.187) 71.7 7.44 0:24 +999.99 1.Lg7 Txd3 2.cxd3 Kh5 3.Lf3+ Kg5 4.Te5+ Sf5 5.h4+ (1.853.335) 77.2 8.44 0:26 +999.99 1.Lg7 Txd3 2.cxd3 Kh5 3.Lf3+ Kg5 4.Te5+ Sf5 5.h4+ (2.048.097) 78.7 9.44 0:30 +999.99 1.Lg7 Txd3 (2.383.105) 79.4 Problem is that in some occasions GUI resigns a game because LambChop is sending a very bad evaluation three times in a row... I think it is a bug in the Fritz-7-GUI not in the engine?! Peter
