You might run a search here at CCC as my memory of the exact details is a bit
fuzzy, however here is what I recall:

- Database size limited to 15,000 games
- One CAN create a new base and enter one's own games, however, the names of the
players will automatically be CA Light White and CA Light Black.
- However, it will also allow you to use any Winboard engine just fine, though
native support of UCI engines (you can still use Roland's converter) and the
Tiger engines is disabled, and the automatic game analysis features are fully
enabled.
- The trees will display all statistics but deactivate after one side castles.
- One can only open 5 bases at a time.
- The ICC interface is fully functional as well, with the only limitations being
that not more than two boards can be opened at a time, and that when observing a
game with an engine running in the background analyzing the board, the engine
will not work beyond move 30 (or move 30 something).
- Printing and web publishing functions are fully functional and it can generate
automatic pages in plain HTML or in javascripts with drop-down menus to choose
games and resizable boards.
- The playing functions work fine so that you can play games with any time
control imaginable (including Fischer TC but not Bronstein) and any combination.
It comes with its own small opening book to this effect, but in many cases (not
all) can support the engine's own native book instead. Not all as many use
non-standard book formats created by the authors themselves.

Other than that one can open, read, and write not only bases in its native
format but PGN as well, and it can read and convert Chessbase formats without a
hitch, including all visual commentary such as highlighted squares and arrows
(of which CA has many more options BTW).

Enjoy! :-)
