Everyone here knows Fritz is strong. when a program has the strength to be in the top five in tournament results, and the tournament host enters all upgrades in the tournament, then that program could occupy most final positions in the tournament results. for example, here is a tournament that has been posted here before. here are all the versions, upgrades, and patches that were entered, 10. Fritz 5.32, Fritz 6 Old, Fritz6b, Fritz6a, Deep Fritz, Fritz 6, Fritz 7 (No MMX), Fritz 7 001, Fritz 7b 006, Fritz 7b 002. what would happen if all programs had ten upgrades in this time period and were entered in this tournament? some programs in this tournament could move up this list several positons, without all these upgrades. what would happen if chessbase would release a patch a month, and these tournament directors entered all versions in tournaments. what would happen if Chris would have released 10 patches for Chess tiger 14.0, and we only had one version of Fritz? this tournament would look a little different. kburcham Program Elo + - Games Score Av.Op.
